In order for disaster preparedness, Crisis Center of West Sumatra province has been activated the center of daily preparedness activity (piket posko) for 24 hours.

This daily activity of Crisis Center has been officially operating continuously since March 2008 until now.

 

The Crisis Center buliding which is located next to the building of Badan Kesbangpol & Linmas of West Province , now equipped with various facilities and infrastructures supporting daily operations, including 10 units computer for the operators of Crisis Center and 1 unit tv monitor for controlling the tsunami waves.

In daily operations, Crisis Center assigns one manager (supervisor for daily activity) with five operators in each shift.

The Crisis Center of West Sumatera operates under the control of Ir. Ade Edward, the Head of Secretariat of Satkorlak PB (The Implementation Coordination Unit in Handling Disasters), under the supervision of  H. Sudirman Gani, S.H, M.M, head of  Badan Kesbangpol & Linmas, as the Secretary of Satkorlak PB.
